Meet the new boys

Bryan Oviedo, Darron Gibson and Joleon Lescott are holding a signing session next Thursday at 3pm.

It is taking place at the Stadium of Light club store and fans are advised to arrive early.

They'll pose for photos, sign autographs or club memorabilia.

Don't forget you can also watch them at the Stadium in open training on Monday.

Everton warm up with thumping win

Everton have warmed up for the big game next weekend with a 4-0 win in a friendly at their training camp in Dubai.

The match, which the club say was played through a sandstorm, was against Chine outfit Shenzhen, managed by none other than Sven-Goran Eriksson.

Ross Barkley and Enner Valencia were on the scoresheet, with Arouna Kone, who of course scored a hat-trick against the Black Cats on an awful afternoon at Goodison, last season, bagging a brace.

Ronald Koeman has said: "We played well and made some good goals,

"The boys showed a great attitude. It’s the end of the week and most of the players are a little bit tired but they showed a professional attitude that you want to see as a coach. I’ve liked that the most from this week.

“It was a good save for the penalty [from Hewelt] and it’s always nice to have a clean sheet. Overall the boys worked hard in difficult conditions.

“Everything has gone well and we’ve had a good week.”
