Sunderland AFC fans invited to watch squad train at Stadium of Light

Sunderland fans can watch their favourite players train at the Stadium of Light next week.

The first team squad is currently in New York but they will be back on home soil later this week ahead of an open training session at the stadium on Monday afternoon, the first day of the half-term holidays.

David Moyes will put his squad through their paces as they prepare for their trip to Everton on Saturday, February 25.

A club statement read: "There will be music and entertainment in and around the stadium prior to the session, including face-painting and football-themed activities for young supporters. Stadium concourse facilities will also be open, serving hot and cold drinks and a range of food items.

"Entry is free, however supporters aged 12 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Parking is available at the stadium on a first-come, first-served basis.

"The open training session will take place on Monday 20 February, commencing at 1pm, with access available from noon.

"Entry to the stadium will be via exit four, which is located in the west stand area, adjacent to the club store. Stewards will be on duty to direct supporters on arrival."
