Sunderland Ladies face the longest journey in the the SSE Women's FA Cup.

Carlton Fairweather’s side face a trip to Yeovil Town in the fifth round of flagship competition in women’s football.

The draw was made today in Doncaster by two schoolgirls though Shonola Elkin, 11, and Maddison Risby, 10, may not be be on Fairweather’s Christmas Card list after sending the Lady Black Cats on a 666-mile round trip to Somerset.

For all the hassles over the long journey on Sunday, March 20, Sunderland will look upon it as a great chances to make progress into the sixth round.

Yeovil finished fourth in WSL2 last year, Sunderland having ended their debut season in WSL1 in fourth in the top flight and with Beth Mead as the division’s top scorer.

Durham Wildcats face a journey to last season’s finalists Notts County.

A trip to the home of football is the incentive for all 16 sides left in the competition.

The final will be played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 14 and this year children will go for free thanks to The FA’s partnership with Cup sponsor SSE.
