Springwell - Down Your Way

Thinking of starting a new exercise regime? Then why not go along on Monday, Tuesday or Friday from 10am-10.45am and give the classes at St Mary and St Peter's project a go. Classes are suitable for all ages and abilities, easyline machines are used along with a variety of other equipment as well as a cardio-based workout. Classes are £2 per session. Use the wellpoint machine to check your weight, BMI and body fat as well as your blood pressure. For more information, contact Sarah.

New Stay and Play session are held on Mondays from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, Session are run by Amber from Make’m Bounce. Children will enjoy the use of inflatable slide, ball pool, run-arounds, and much more to keep them entertained. Cost is £3 per child, £1.50 per sibling, 50p for carers and non walkers. Come along and join in.

The toddler group meets every Wednesday from 9.30am to 11am (term time only). There is a wide variety of toys, activities and crafts to keep them entertained. Children also receive toast and juice. Sessions costs £1.50. All are welcome.

NU YU Holistic Therapies, established by Sharon Charlton in March last year, can be found in St Mary and St Peter’s project. Sharon is a qualified holistic practitioner and Reiki Master and is passionate about holistic and alternative therapies. The vision at NU YU Holistic Therapies is simple: “Restoring balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit”.

It offers a range of treatments in its beautiful therapy room. These include; Usui Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Crystal Reiki, Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Indian Head Massage and Facial treatments. If you are interested in booking a treatment, contact Sharon on 07789 215 716.

St Mary and St Peter’s welcomes baptism enquiries after the Tuesday 6pm Eucharist and the 9.30am Thursday Eucharist. The Sunday Eucharist at St Mary and St Peter’s is at 9.30am, Sunday School takes place at the same time. Refreshments are served after the Eucharist All are welcome. If anyone has a piano stool not being used, St Mary and St Peter’s Church can give it a home.

Humbledon Methodist Church runs a number of activities throughout the week including: Open door, why not go along for a coffee, light lunch or just a chat? Members meet in the church hall every Wednesday from 10.30am to 1pm. Old and new friends will be made very welcome. Other weekly events are: Sunday morning worship at 10.45am; Monday Brownies at 6.30pm; Tuesday Weight Watchers from 6pm; Wednesday: Open Door from 10.30am to 1pm. Coffee and light lunches are served.Thursday there is a Slimming World class from 6.30pm.
