Do you enjoy gardening and have few hours to spare. St Mary and St Peter's Project is looking for volunteers to help with the maintenance of the community garden.Volunteers meet every Monday from 9.30am to noon. If you would like to help then go along on Monday, speak to the volunteers and enjoy an cup of tea or coffee. Other days and times can be arranged. Ring Sarah (above) for more details.

There are currently places available in the toddler group which meets on Wednesdays from 9.30am-11am. Sessions cost £1.50 per child, which includes toast and juice.

St Mary and St Peter’s Community Project is holding a table-top/bring-and-buy sale on Saturday, June 11, from 10am-1pm. Tables/space cost £5 to hire and must be booked and paid for in advance as space will be limited. Contact Sarah for more details 0191 5228979.

St Mary and St Peter’s PCC will meet on Tuesday, May 17, at 7pm after the 6.30pm Eucharist. Baptism enquiries are welcome at St Mary and St Peter’s after the 6pm Eucharist on a Tuesday and the 9.30am Eucharist on a Thursday. Thank you to everyone who supported the afternoon tea in aid of Christian Aid at St Mary and St Peter’s Church.

Humbledon Methodist Church held a pie and peas lunch on Saturday, April 23, which was very successful and well attended. Anne Chisholm gave an interesting presentation on Ringtons tea and coffee. Members and friends brought a variety of Ringtons ware, which made a fine display. The next event will be on Saturday, May 21. This will be an afternoon tea at 3pm and tickets are £5 from church members.

Humbledon Methodist Church runs a number of weekly activities including: Sunday Morning worship at 10.45am; Monday, Brownies at 6.30pm; Tuesday, Weight Watchers from 6pm; Wednesday, open door from 10.30am to 1pm with coffee and light lunches served; Thursday, Slimming World from 6.30pm.
