Thornbury Care Centre will be holding a summer fair on Saturday from 1.30pm. All are welcome to go along. Residents will be holding a character fancy dress competition, raffles, tombola, face painting and much more.
Members and friends at Humbledon Methodist Church, Ettrick Grove, will celebrate the church’s 84th anniversary on Sunday, September 4. This will also be its annual gift day, with a service commencing at 3pm. Please note there will be no morning service. Members are looking forward to welcoming the Rev Susan Richardson. A faith tea will follow in the church hall. A warm welcome is given to all. After the summer break, open door will resume on Wednesday, September 7, from 10.30am to 1pm in the church hall. Call in for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat, light lunches will also available.
