Southwick - Down Your Way

Do you enjoy knitting or would you like to learn?  Why not join the free knit '˜n' natter group, which takes place in the community room at Tesco Roker retail park, fortnightly on a Friday from 2pm to 3.30pm. The next session will be held on Friday and everyone is very welcome.  This session is run by Sunderland Libraries.

The kids group, which meets in Southwick Forum, is organising a table-top sale on Monday, February 1, from 3.15pm to 5pm. Go along straight after school and support the children. There will be hot dogs, chips, tombola, bric-a-brac, toys, arts and crafts and cakes for sale. Everyone is welcome.

Seated Chair exercise is held every Thursday from 10am to 11am at Southwick Forum. Go along and enjoy gentle exercise in a friendly group. Cost is £3 per session and includes tea, coffee and biscuits.

Knit and natter meets every Monday from 1pm to 2.30pm in Southwick Forum. Go along and enjoy a chat and cuppa. Beginners are welcome. Cost is £1, which includes tea, coffee and a biscuit. This group is for adults only.

A ladies’ group for the over-55s, meets every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm in the forum. Go along and enjoy lunch, a chat and laugh.

Messy church will be held in the Salvation Army, Shakespeare Street, on February 8, from 3.15pm to 5pm. The sessions are free and for all ages. they are family friendly with different themes each week. There are stories, games, crafts and food to share. Every Friday in The daily Bread Cafe full English breakfast is available for £2 including tea or coffee and toast. Every one is welcome.
