The organisers have advised that tickets are selling quickly and have urged those who wish to attend to secure their tickets to avoid disappointment.

Jane Hogan, project lead at Newcastle-based St Oswald's Hospice, said: “We have quite simply been inundated with ticket requests from people wanting to see the Snowdogs one last time.

"Moving to Gateshead Stadium allows us to make more tickets available and offer ample on-site parking, along with easy access to public transport including a nearby Metro station and bus stops close by.”

Great North Snowdogs, held to raise funds for and awareness of the Children’s Service at St Oswald’s Hospice, Gosforth, has been the most successful trail of its kind ever staged by creative producers Wild in Art.

The farewell event will also feature a Christmas market with stalls selling gifts, street food and Snowdog merchandise, along with the chance to win a car in the St Oswald’s Hospice Annual Raffle.

Anyone who has already purchased tickets will be contacted about the new venue and their tickets and time slots will still be valid.

Ticket holders are advised to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the time stated on their ticket as queues are likely.

The time slots are not transferable and anyone who misses their time slot will require a new ticket. The tickets are limited and non-refundable.
