The Sisterhood will meet on Monday, November 7, at 2pm, in North Street Methodist Church, Silksworth. The speaker will be Malcolm Muir, newly elected National President of the Brotherhood and Sisterhood.

Next Tuesday, November 8, a friendly lunch will be held in North Street Methodist Church from noon to 1.30pm. Cost of £3 includes soup, sandwich, desert, tea or coffee and a chat. Everybody is welcome.

St Paul’s Church, Ryhope, is holding a Christmas fair on Saturday. There will be lots of stalls, tombola, and a raffle. Everybody welcome. Come along and enjoy some Christmas shopping.

Silksworth Independent Methodist Church, behind Blind Lane, is holding the Christian Endeavour Rally on Saturday at 6.30pm.The speaker will be Martin Bolt and soloist Tom Grey. Martin Bolt will be speaking again at the church anniversary service on Sunday at 10.30am. All are welcome.

Ryhope Karate Club meets in Ryhope Community Centre, Black Road, every Wednesday and Thursday from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. All ages and abilities are welcome. Pop along or ring 07508318738

The Silksworth annual Remembrance Day Parade and Service will take place on Sunday, November 13, leaving the British Legion Club at 10.35am, led by the Dunston Silver Band.
