Seaham, after being led out by mascot Jude Dixon, started the scoring from kick-off when the ball ended with Jack Adamson, who ran half the pitch with ball in hand and offloaded to Glen Hardie, who scored.

Kes Steel managed the conversion.

Jarrovians were able to narrow the score with a try of their own.

The rest of the first half was full of unforced errors and a Jarrovians penalty.

Seaham stared the second half just as they had the first, scoring in the opening seconds through big prop Andrew Short.

Further tries came courtesy of second row Michael Bland and scrum-half Elliot Pratt, all converted by Steel.

Seaham registered a fifth and final try, from Matty Fisher, that Steel surprisingly failed to convert.

Jarrow secured two tries in the second half, without converting either.

Adamson was Seaham’s man of the match, but David Fisher was close with an outstanding performance at hooker.

Seaham are at home to Seghill this Saturday (3pm) at Lord Byron Walk. Training continues tomorrow and Thursday (6.30pm).
