Schoolboy arrested after car crash
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested following a crash in Horden.
Peterlee Police said the incident happened at the Horden to Peterlee traffic lights yesterday afternoon.
A 15-year-old from the Peterlee area is alleged to have taken his mother’s vehicle without permission.
A spokesman for the police said: "He was arrested at the scene and has been charged with a number of offences. Luckily there were no serious injuries."
