Rugby Union: Four-try Archie leads the way for Ashbrooke youngsters

Ashbrooke youngster Archie Norman crashed over for four tries, while Oliver Beattie claimed two, with Joe Cowie also putting in a solo effort.

Hide AdSunderland’s Under-16s also claimed a good win against West Hartlepool.
Again, strong running and determined tackling kept Sunderland’s noses in front against a well-organised West side.
Two tries came from Luke Carroll, with a further touchdown for Louis Deathe.

Hide AdMeanwhile, the Under-13s faced a tough challenge against Ponteland, shipping six tries in the first half.
However, the home team put in an excellent second-half performance.
Unlucky winger Liam Carr had a try chalked off after stepping into touch and was denied a certain try by a a high tackle from a Ponteland player.
As the game wore on, strong carries from Adam Williams and James Marshall saw the ball fed out to Zak Kennedy, who touched down in the corner.
