River Wear Commissioner's office could be maritime heritage museum

I see the council is trying to sell off another one of our beautiful buildings.

The city is crying out for a museum of our shipbuilding and maritime heritage and the River Wear Commisioner’s offices would make an ideal venue.

I’m sure the lads from The Maritime Heritage Centre in Church Street would have some great ideas for it.

The internal features are stunning and it would be a travesty to lose them.
