Revealed: Sunderland's retained list

John O'Shea is a high profile departure

Sunderland have released their retained players list for the 2017/18 season - with all SEVEN of their out-of-contract players not offered new deals.

John O'Shea, Jan Kirchhoff, Sebastian Larsson, Joleon Lescott, Victor Anichebe, Steven Pienaar and Will Buckley are all yet to be offered fresh terms by the Black Cats and therefore become free agents at the end of the month.

Adnan Januzaj, Jason Denayer and Javier Manquillo all return to their parent clubs after unsuccessful loan spells at the Academy of Light.
