Released inmate pelted ex’s house with snowballs and smashed a Peppa Pig toy

A MAN has been fined after he damaged a Peppa Pig scooter and smashed a window with a snowball .

Anthony Wood became angry when having been released from prison he visited the Easington Lane home of his former partner, Sunderland magistrates heard.

David Maddison, prosecuting, said Wood was seen throwing snowballs at a downstairs window panel on January 31, before picking up a Peppa Pig scooter and throwing it towards the house.

Wood admitted criminal damage.

Peter Thubron, defending, said: “He had just been released after seven months on remand for a matter of which he was found not guilty.

“After these seven months, he came back home. The lady had been visiting him in prison

“He had some suspicion as to who was in his bed.

“He threw snowballs, he threw the scooter at the door and suspects it may have been damaged.

“He has no intention to rekindle this relationship now.”

Wood was told to pay £100 compensation to Gentoo for the broken window, £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
