Rain washes out Durham clash
At one stage, it looked like play may have got under way in the afternoon session, but after the groundstaff made an attempt to clear the rain, the heavens opened once again.
The umpires made their way to the middle just after 3pm, and they brought the day to a close after they deemed that no play would be possible.

Hide AdBoth sets of players were left frustrated with the outcome, with Durham looking to get some valuable game time in ahead of their County Championship opener with Somerset on Sunday.
However, with more rain expected, it appears that the frustration for coach John Lewis and his players may well continue.
