Probe call is hypocritical

With breath-taking hypocrisy Labour's Shadow Home Secretary, Andy Burnham, is calling for a public inquiry into the death of another Russian dissident on British soil.

Yes, this is the same Andy Burnham, who, along with Alan Johnson, the two former Labour Health Secretaries, turned down 81 requests for public inquiries into the Mid-Staffordshire scandal, including 20 from fellow MPs.

The inquiries were demanded when figures showed 14 NHS trusts with unusually high mortality rates of about 7,000 more deaths than expected in a four-year period under Labour.
