Primary school closed after boiler house flood
A Wearside primary school is closed this morning after a boiler house flood.
Pupils at Shiney Row Primary School in Rear South View, Shiney Row, Houghton, were given an unexpected day off today.
A flood in the boiler house cut the boilers off leaving the school in the cold.
Headteacher Paul Ashton said: "We're waiting for it to be assessed but we're confident that we'll be back open by tomorrow."
