Benefit payment dates which include universal credit, child benefit payments and tax credits may be affected by the Easter bank holiday this week, with two bank holidays over the course of a few days - Good Friday and Easter Monday.

This year Easter falls on Sunday, April 4 so payments for benefits may not be received on their usual day.

According to the official Government website, if a payment falls on a weekend or Bank Holiday it will usually be paid the day before – but this could differ for benefits such as tax credits and child benefit.
