McDonald’s closed all UK and Ireland sites in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Prior to the total shutdown, the chain had temporarily closed dine-in seating areas while offering takeaway, delivery and drive-thru options only.

McDonald’s also lodged an application earlier in March 2020 to boost storage space and create an new drive-thru collection booth at its Silksworth restaurant.
