Police called to Sunderland shop
Police were called to a Sunderland shop this evening.
Officers have been dealing with an incident at the Spar shop, on the corner of Ewesley Road and Cleveland Road, after being called at around 9pm.
One onlooker said: “I think the shop was raided. The police came to the door – they were everywhere. All I know is that no one got hurt, but they are shaken up.”
Staff members at the shop were not available for comment.
Northumbria Police were not available for comment.
