Police have appealed for help to find a missing North East pensioner who suffers from dementia.

Police have appealed for help to find missing Alan Giles.

Alan Giles, 66, from Sungold Villas, Elswick, Newcastle, has been missing since 4.30pm today.

He suffers from dementia and other health problems and is extremely vulnerable.

He is about 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, and is wearing an ID necklace, black jumper, black bottoms and blue slippers.

Officers are out looking for Alan and anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101.
