Police appeal after man 'urinates on bus before spitting in driver's face'

Police have launched an appeal after a man allegedly urinated on a bus and then spat in the driver's face when he was asked to leave.

Durham Police say the shocking incident happened on the X10 bus which was travelling between Newcastle and Middlesbrough on July 11.

They have released an image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Durham Police tweeted: "Do you recognise this man?

"He was caught urinating on the X10 bus travelling from #Newcastle to #Middlesbrough on July 11.

"He became verbally and physically abusive when asked to leave the bus, spitting in the driver's face.

"Please call 101 if you recognise him."
