Police appeal after man has his jaw broken outside Sunderland bar

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 21-year-old man was assaulted in Sunderland.

The incident happened in Green Terrace outside Lola's bar around 2am on Sunday, July 24.

The victim suffered a broken jaw.

The victim had stepped in to prevent a fight when he was punched in the face.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for witnesses.

The offender is described as dark skin, medium build, aged around 25 to 30 years old with short dark hair. He was wearing a red t-shirt.
