PM lines up Wearside-made Micra for SamCam

It has been reported the Prime Minister bought the blue 2004 plate model from a second hand garage after Mrs Cameron said she needed a new car to use while at their constituency home.
He bought the car, which has 93,000 miles on the clock, from Witney Used Car Centre in Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire.

Business boss Iain Harris, who had thought the initial call saying the PM would be calling in to look at his vehicles was a wind up, said: "He said it had to be something made in the UK.
"I joked he wouldn't want a red car."
Mr Cameron, who has visited the Sunderland plant once in his role as PM and once as leader of the opposition, later returned to the forecourt, bought the car and drove away with his security detail.
Mr Harris added: "He was very friendly and down to earth, just like any other bloke buying a car for wife."
