DONALD LOVE - One fine turn in the second half to set his side away on the attack. Steady and let nothing past him throughout. 6
ALIM OZTURK - Looks to be still getting up to speed and had some shaky moments. Good in the air. 6
TOM FLANAGAN - Communicates well and takes few risks. A calming influence. 6

Hide AdADAM MATTHEWS - A delightful ball over the top to force Maja's opener. Looked comfortable on the left flank. 6
LEE CATTERMOLE - Pushed slightly further forward in central midfield and a fine pass allowed Sunderland to take a three goal lead early in the second half. 6
DYLAN McGEOUCH - Some fine tackles in the first half, his positioning was exemplary. Set the tempo with his passing, too. 8
GEORGE HONEYMAN - Tremendous work-rate and helped Sunderland control midfield. Deserved his goal, even if it was aided greatly by a deflection. 7

LYNDEN GOOCH - A menace from the first whistle, beating his player inside and out. Two goals were worthy reward for an impressive display. 9
JOSH MAJA - Play with back to goal is still developing but there was no disputing the quality of his two finishes, which caught the goalkeeper completely off guard. 8
