Picking on vulnerable

I see our council is looking at ways of saving money.

What a good idea.

However, the suggestion that parents of “special needs teens” should contribute to their children’s travel is insensitive.

Perhaps a more productive means of saving money would be for councillors to reign in their personal spending and contribute towards their own expenses.

It has been reported recently that our council’s expenses claims far exceed that of Newcastle Council.

Surely, savings could be made there instead of picking on the vulnerable.
