Jon McLaughlin made a string of fine saves for Sunderland at Doncaster

The trip to South Yorkshire looked to be a tough assignment for Jack Ross’ men, with Rovers also battling it out at the top of League One.

However, a second half strike from Chris Maguire secured victory for the Wearsiders as they continued their fine form of late.

And while Maguire came in for plenty of praise from our man Phil Smith, his player ratings also emphasised the contributions of several other players - including the ‘flawless’ Jon McLaughlin.
