Peterlee and Horden - Down Your Way

Durham County Councillors Lynn Pounder and Rob Crute visited Crimdon Dene to see the progress made in relocating the hut used by the wardens. Louise Harrington, from the Durham Heritage Coast Partnership (DHCP), and Trevor Stephenson were on site supervising the construction of the hut, and deciding which further improvements could be made as part of this project. The new hut is just part of a wider scheme devised by the DHCP to improve Crimdon Dene, along with the facilities used to monitor and protect the little terns when they make their seasonal visit to the Durham coast.
