Baldwin was made available for transfer at the start of the summer by Evans as he revamps his squad for the upcoming League One campaign.

There has been interest from numerous clubs in Baldwin, including Sheffield Wednesday, but the Black Cats are expecting him to undergo a medical today.
Speaking before the latest developments, Evans told the Peterborough Telegraph: “Jack Baldwin is the perfect professional.
"I knew that when I placed him on the transfer list at the end of last season and nothing he’s done this summer has made my change my mind.

“But he has been outstanding in pre-season both in training and in the games. He is still a great bloke to have around the training camp.
“If he is still here when the season starts he will be considered for selection."
According to Sky Sports, Sunderland will pay around £200,000 should the deal be completed, with Peterborough also inserting a sell-on clause.
