Fashion retailer Peacocks has opened a new branch in The Galleries, with Charlotte at the big launch today, June 11, to mark its opening.

The store stocks a wide range of women’s, men’s, and children’s fashion, as well as its celebrity collections from Louise Redknapp Edit, Dani Dyer Collection and the menswear range as seen on Michael Owen.

As well as welcoming Sunderland-born reality star Charlotte, the launch day saw the first 10 customers given a free £50 voucher to spend in store.

Sharron Lamb, Retail Director at Peacocks, said: “We are so excited to welcome shoppers to our new store in Washington, and we can’t wait to join Charlotte to celebrate the opening properly. She’s a local icon, just like we’re hoping to be.

“With our new summer collections for all the family, shoppers can be sure to get everything they need to enjoy the new season at Peacocks.”

Peacocks, formerly known as Penny Bazaar, was founded in Cheshire in 1884 by Albert Frank Peacock.

Today, the retailer has more than 340 stores across the UK.
