Charlotte Rounsfell, 11, is among nine North East children to feature in a film promoting the region to the world.
The Fatfield School pupil starred in a new showcase film by True Moon Productions highlighting the investment opportunities across the North East, created by Sunderland-born filmmaker Carley Armstrong.
Charlotte was filmed at the Crown Works site in Pallion - set to be transformed into a state-of-the-art studio destination – for the film that was unveiled by Mayor Kim McGuinness at UKREiiF, one of the UK’s leading real estate investment events, which took place in Leeds earlier this month.

Titled “Built Here”, the film Charlotte stars in showcases eight major investment opportunities across the North East, including Crown Works, which recently secured £38m in funding backed by North East Mayor Kim McGuinness.
Charlotte, who is signed to a local talent agency, said: “I want to be a famous actor like Millie Bobbie Brown one day.
“I just want to hear myself on screen and this is the first time I have had a part with a spoken line, so it’s exciting. I can’t wait to see the film.”
Mayor Kim said: “It’s wonderful that we have been able to produce a film that harnesses the talent of the North East – using local children, and a local production team to showcase the regeneration opportunities that I am absolutely committed to delivering for the next generation.
“The North East is brimming with potential and opportunity, and I will not stop until I see that young people growing up in this part of the world can build successful lives here, pursuing dreams that may once have taken them out of the region.”
UKREiiF took place between 19 and 21 May and is the UK’s leading forum for real estate, investment and infrastructure, bringing together property professionals, investors, developers and senior decision-makers from across the UK.
More than 16,000 delegates - including over 4,000 investors and developers - came together across three days to share insight, build long-term partnerships and drive innovation.
