Washington 11-year-old delivering essentials to care homes across town during lockdown
Harry Todd began making key rings with rainbows on to post through people’s door to keep their spirits up during lockdown.
The 11-year-old, who attends Oxclose Academy, didn’t want any donations but when residents insisted on giving him something he decided to put it to good use by buying hand sanitisers for care homes.

Harry then decided he wanted to do more to help and began raising funds of Facebook.
This time, Harry wanted to take bottled water for residents and carers and the donations came flooding in.
The mum-of-one contacted Bob a second time to purchase some crates of water and the shopkeeper offered to donate half of the bottles and offer his team of volunteers to help drive the van.

“Harry has loved helping the care homes, he is a kind boy and likes to help people.
“Both myself, Harry’s dad Darryl and all of his family are extremely proud of the effort and determination Harry put in to help people.
“We would like to thank Bob for the help he has given Harry and the community at a time that has been very difficult for a lot of people. He has worked very hard throughout this time and shown so much kindness. Well done to him and his volunteers.”
Harry wants to thank everyone who donated towards the cause and is looking to continue his supporting others.
