The arena remains open, however it stated on Friday March 13 via its Facebook page that the team is “closely monitoring the situation and following advice from the Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)”.

The Script’s announcement came just minutes after James Arthur had finished playing his Friday night show at The Arena.

The Script did not specifically mention coronavirus in their announcment.

However, the decision comes amid expectations that the Government will ban large public gatherings in the UK next week in a bid to try and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
