Sunderland’s psychic pony predicts outcome of England's World Cup game against Norway
Sunderland’s psychic pony has been called on again for her mystic powers ahead of England’s quarter-finals game against Norway on Saturday.
Penshaw’s Princess, a 19-year-old Shetland pony, has given us a mixed bag over the past few weeks, correctly predicting England’s wins against Panama and Congo, but proving wrong when it came to England’s clash againsts Mexico.
After beating Mexico 3-2 on Monday, July 6, England are through to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup, and will be playing Norway on Saturday, July 11.
Ahead of the team’s game in Miami, the Sunderland Echo decided to trot off to Penshaw Equestrian Centre to hear what it’s psychic pony had to say.

Penshaw’s Princess was called on once more for her mystic powers to decide whether the Three Lions will be celebrating a victory on Saturday evening or not.
As her age may suggest, this is not her first rodeo.
Her experience means she is always the first horse at the riding school to guess when it is meal time, and so is the obvious candidate to predict Saturday’s outcome.
Despite incorrectly predicting the last game, the Sunderland Echo is hoping she is right this time as she predicts a win for Thomas Tuchel’s team.
Penshaw’s Princess was tasked with picking one of two labelled bowls filled with food to decide if England will “win” or “lose”.
Fortunately for the Three Lions, this psychic pony picked a win.
England’s match against Norway will kick off at 10pm on Saturday, July 11.
