Roberts, 32, of Carlisle Terrace, Southwick, was also forbidden from entering any premises where he knows or believes his victim to be as part of a two-year restraining year.

In addition, the order forbids him from threatening, harassing or intimidating her or attempting to act in a similar manner.

It also orders him not to “encourage, assist or request any other person to threaten, harass or intimidate” her by any means.

Roberts, who committed the offence on August 26, was cleared of a second charge of making threats to burn her house down.
