Stealing nearly £900 of perfume from Boots and other recent Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were heard recently at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Hazhar Chopani, 27, of Azalea Terrace North, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 23 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on August 6.

Gemma Stanbridge, 29, of Rydal Avenue, Easington, Lane, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting failing to comply with the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act on August 9.

Ryan Borrowdale, 18, of Marlborough Road, Sulgrave, Washington, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting one count of committing harassment between July 17-August 2.

Christopher Johnson, 37, of Close Street, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting jointly stealing £894 of perfume from a Sunderland branch of Boots on November 12.

Victoria Louise Kelly, 31, of Spring Gardens, Close, Hendon, Sunderland, was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting breaching a restraining order on January 1.

Toni Dixon, 27, of Aberdare Road, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving and driving without insurance on December 8.

Dean Thomas Sinclair, 32, of Council Avenue, Shiney Row, was banned from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving, driving without a valid licence and driving without insurance in Boldon Colliery on November 20.
