From Oasis pre break-up to the return of the Spice Girls and playing host to some of of the USA’s biggest stars in Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Pink, and Bruce Springsteen, and not forgetting the Rocket Man himself, Elton John, the Stadium of Light has played host to some of music's biggest superstars.

And this Tuesday (June 9) sees the return of Take That to Sunderland after the 90s icons last played at the home of SAFC in 2011.

Ahead of the band’s spectacular Circus Live tour, we are taking you on a musical walk down memory lane. Check out these fantastic photos from nearly two decades of of some of the biggest names in music performing at the Stadium of Light.
