They have all received £1,000 after their SR6 7JL postcode was chosen as a daily prize winner in the People’s Postcode Lottery on Wednesday, November 18.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her best wishes to the lucky residents of White Rocks Grove, Whitburn, adding: “What a lovely surprise, congratulations to our winners in Sunderland.

"I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special.”

Seventeen neighbours from this street are celebrating a lottery windfall each.

White Rocks Grove is the latest in a lengthy list of streets from the Sunderland area to enjoy People’s Postcode Lottery wins in 2020.

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales from draws goes directly to charities with lottery players already raising more than £600 million for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by the Postcode Community Trust, which is funded by lottery players, to help it fund good causes promoting community development and positive change.
