Santa Claus spotted back in Sunderland for action-packed Boxing Day beach visit

After his busiest day of the year, most of us would expect Santa Claus to be sitting with his feet up, perhaps enjoying a chocolate or two, on Boxing Day.

But the big man had other ideas in mind for Thursday, December 26 with a spot of kitesurfing at Seaburn beach, Sunderland.

As hundreds of Boxing Day dippers sprinted towards the waves in aid of their chosen charity at the seaside, Mr Claus was taking to the skies to blow away some cobwebs of his own.

Our eagle-eyed photographer spotted Santa as he was mid-flight over the sea at Seaburn – and we can’t help but admire him for his action-packed hobby.

The countless mince pies snifters of sherry didn’t even slow him down!

Thanks for all of your hard work Santa, and well done to everyone taking part in 2019’s Boxing Day dip, which this year celebrated its 45th anniversary.
