Rotary Club of Washington encourages residents to support one another after difficult year
The Rotary Club of Washington raised £1,700 to donate to various good causes in the area earlier this year as part of their initiative to support people in the community.
As part of the donations, Rotary Club of Washington Vice President, Joan Waldron, presented a cheque of £200 to the Washington Community Food Project as the organisation encouraged residents to think of others this Christmas.

Rotarian Neil Mconie said: “It’s very, very important to support other people who may be struggling at the minute, now more than ever, especially coming into the winter time.
"There’s a lack of employment because of the pandemic and people are struggling more than ever, so it’s great we can help in any way.
We encourage everyone to think of others less fortunate after this difficult year.”
