Northumbria Police officers assisted the 74-year-old man after he fell outside the TK Maxx store, in the city centre on Friday, October 30.

A force spokesman said: “Shortly before 2.30pm we received a report of concern for a male who had fallen outside TX Maxx on Crowtree Road.

“Officers attended and offered their assistance to the male, aged 74, who had sustained minor injuries and did not require any further treatment.”
