Police confirm missing 27-year-old man has been found

A missing man has been found following a police appeal as officers grew concerned for his welfare.

Stefan Carrel, who is originally from Jersey, is known to frequent the Roker and Monkwearmouth areas of Sunderland.

Northumbria Police has now confirmed that the 29-year-old has been located.

Posting on social media, a spokesman for the force said: “We are pleased to report that missing person Stefan Carrel has now been located. Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal.”
