Police appeal after 40 Canary birds are stolen in their cage from owner's shed

Police are appealing for help to trace dozens of stolen Canary birds.

Seaham and Easington Police said around 40 Canaries and a bird cage were stolen from a Murton shed.

A police social media post read: “The incident occurred sometime between 11pm on December 2 and 8am on December 3.

“The Canaries which are a mixture of yellow and black and white and red were taken from the owner’s shed on Station Estate North.”
