After weeks of bleak weather, Sunderland has finally been enjoying some sunshine over the bank holiday weekend.

And while the city missed out on the high temperatures seen elsewhere in the UK – rising past 20 degrees in some parts – people were still keen to get out and make the most of the sunshine.

Temperatures were around 15 degrees in Sunderland, and are set to stay similar in the coming days.
