She said: “I am working from home and my desk is in the window of our upstairs bedroom.

“I was on a call and I stood up to see a deer walking towards the house.

“I just had to end the call and quickly take some photos while shouting for my husband and kids to come and look.

“They were just saying ‘what’s Bambi doing in the street’.”

She added: “The way it entered the street, it was just like a car would. It was just walking down the middle of the road before stopping outside the house.

“It stood there for a short while and then ran off, I think it may have heard the noise from us looking at it through the window.

“I’ve never had anything like this happen before, we live near a wooded area so it may have came from there.

“You can hear traffic from the A1 so I’m surprised that it wasn’t startled by that.”
