Hide AdDaniel, from Ryhope, has worked at Nissan for 11 years, but always harboured a passion for writing and unbeknownst to family and colleagues, decided fulfil his ambition of completing a novel.
When Daniel was furloughed from work for three months in March, he used the time to completely focus on his book.
He wrote, edited, and formatted the novel – even designing its cover with the help of daughter Lily, 11, who shot the image of him in front of Sunderland’s Wearmouth Bridge.
The book was self-published on Amazon, following a race to get it completed in time for Daniel’s return to work in May.
