Matthew, 34, managed to convince the actor to sign his arm - so he could later get the signature tattooed – while meeting at the event last week.
Elijah Wood, who plays the Frodo in the film trilogy based on J.R.R Tolkien’s books, spoke to visitors, posed for photos and signed film memorabilia as one of the Comic Con’s celebrity guests.

Hide AdBut Matthew’s request was probably the most unique of the day.
He said: “I got him to sign a statue I have first. I wasn’t sure if he would sign my arm as there were signs up saying not to shake hands because of the coronavirus.
“In the end, Elijah was fine with it. We also had a chat about what he was working on next, I didn’t want to ask him about Lord of the Rings as I’m sure he’s had it all over the years.
“I’ve been to New Zealand to see the film sets and spoke to people who worked as part of the crew for the movies but I’ve never met one of the actors so it was great to meet him.”
