Mia Stevenson spent three days colouring in her house with chalk to the delight of her dad, Phil Stevenson, who works as a medical supplier for Rocket Medical, which provides vital medicines to the NHS.

After being inspired by posts on Facebook, Mia wanted to give her Dad something to look forward to after coming home from work and also boost community spirits in Columbia, Washington.

Mr Stevenson, 39, was delighted to see his daughters efforts and the gesture has drawn a lot of praise from neighbours in the area.

He said: “With me being a key worker she wants to support the NHS as much as possible. She’s made me really proud. When I came in from work I was over the moon with what she had done.

The neighbourhood has loved it and a lot of people have been stopping to take photos.”

The Biddick Primary School pupil has also been handing out drawings of rainbows to people in the community to spread a message of hope and support the hard workers on the NHS frontline.
