Instagram-famous Ding burger takeaway sells out Sunderland slots in less than 60 seconds

Booking slots for the popular burger takeaway Ding sold out in less than 60 seconds last night, Tuesday, March 1 after the business launched its Sunderland branch.

The burger business, set up by a group of friends from Hartlepool, has expanded its venture to Sunderland and sold out of takeaway slots in less than 60 seconds after the system went live at 7pm yesterday.

Ding will be operating from the Roker Hotel in Sunderland on Saturday, March 6 and Sunday March 7 where the lucky customers who managed to grab a slot will be able to try the famous ‘mince in a bun.’

The burger joint used an online booking portal to collect orders via their Instagram where Sunderland customers clicked the link in the hope of ordering food for the weekend ahead.

The original Hartlepool burger business, which operates as a take-away from the Pot House pub on the Headland only launched last October during the pandemic but has proved a hit with customers.

The company, who source produce from local butchers and bakers, also provides a take-away service from Ta Moko in Middlesbrough and is planning to provide a dine-in service at some of their locations after the national lockdown.
